To remove the battery, first, unscrew the screw that holds it in place. Then, gently lift it out of its slot. Be sure to save any plastic clips that hold it in place. Once the battery is out, you can replace it with either a new rechargeable or replaceable battery.
To remove the motherboard, first, unscrew all of the screws that hold it in place. Then, gently pull it out of the case. Be sure to save any RAM or hard drive modules that are attached to it.
To change the battery in the Settings app, open the Settings app, click on System and Security, then under Batteries, click on Change Battery. On this screen, you can see which battery type your computer has installed, as well as how much charge it has left. Click on Change Battery to open the Replace Battery window.
